The Sunrisers Hyderabad have put in a lot of effort and thought into their IPL 2025 squad building. The 2016 IPL champions did strategise well ahead of the IPL 2025 mega auction and it is evident from the recruitments that they have done during the event.

Ahead of the auction, the Sunrisers Hyderabad retained five of their players from IPL 2024 Squad. They spent INR 75 Cr for these five retentions and had INR 45 Cr left in the auction to fill up a maximum of 20 spots.
