The passion of cricket in India is well known around the world. Quite often, people tend to come up with over-the-top reactions while talking about the game in the country, and Indian journalist while talking on Sports Tak YouTube channel has once again proved it.

Rishabh Pant's Poor Batting In IPL 2205 Frustrates Journalist

In a post-match discussion after the game between SRH and LSG, a journalist sitting alongside Vikrant Gupta, threw an object at the TV which broke the TV behind them. He also pushed the table and objects away, and all this was because of his frustration on Rishabh Pant.

The LSG skipper, Rishabh Pant departed on a duck in the opening game of IPL 2025, and against SRH too, he struggled big time. The batter could manage run-a-ball 15 in a high-scoring game, and is clearly looking out of touch. LSG managed to get a win in the second game against SRH, but Pant's performance was below-par again, and it created frustration for the journalist who seemed to be a passionate LSG fan.

He stated that Rishabh Pant has become too predictable, and one just cannot keep faith in his batting. Vikrant Gupta, who is a renowned journalist himself tried to speak something, but the man who was speaking earlier, clearly was not in the mood to listen to anybody. He picked up an object from the table in front of him and came up with some abusive words while throwing objects on the TV.

The other person around him tried to calm him down, but he was clearly not happy with Rishabh Pant and stated that LSG would not have won had they been dependent on his batting.

Overall, it was quite an unprecedented incident on a live show, and speaks a lot about the health of journalism in the country. It also brought back memories of people breaking TV in Pakistan when their team lost to India, and overall, cannot be considered as a healthy way of debating cricket.
