Former Pakistan captain and legendary batter Inzamam-ul-Haq has shockingly accused the Indian team and premier pacer Arshdeep Singh of ball tampering.

Speaking on a Pakistani TV show, Inzamam launched a verbal attack at the Indian team, alleging that they were involved in foul play during the high-octane Super Eights face-off against Australia.

Inzamam, who appeared on the show as one of the experts alongside former skipper Salim Malik, stated that it was abnormal to see Arshdeep reversing the ball against Australia.

He further explained that it's impossible to get reverse swing using a 15-over-old ball unless some high-quality work is done on it. Thus, he indirectly accused India of using unfair means to generate reverse swing during the second half.

As soon as a Pakistani journalist posted it, the video spread like wildfire on social media platform X (formerly Twitter). As a result, Inzamam, once a crafty batter, earned massive backlash from Indian users, who used to adore his stroke play.

This is not the first time Pakistani cricketers have alleged the Indian players of ball tampering, as they targeted Mohammad Shami using baseless claims during the 2023 World Cup.

Meanwhile, team India, unperturbed by the controversial remarks, will be up against England in the second semifinal of the tournament on June 27 in Guyana.
