Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) have emerged as a formidable batting powerhouse in this Indian Premier League (IPL 2024) season, showcasing their dominance with record-breaking performances.

They shattered the highest team total record in IPL twice, first scoring 277-3 runs against Mumbai and then surpassing it with an impressive 287-3 against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB).

In both exhilarating encounters, two players stood out with their exceptional T20 batting skills: Australia's World Cup hero Travis Head and the current biggest destructive force in T20 cricket, Heinrich Klaasen.

Watch: Klaasen and Head using their net practice skills to ground

Travis Head and Heinrich Klaasen exhibit sheer brutality in their ball-hitting talents. Their arsenal includes almost every modern T20 shot, each executed with precision and intent. However, what sets them apart is their meticulous preparation.

Before showcasing their skills on the field, the duo invests significant time and effort in rigorous net sessions, honing and perfecting every aspect of their game. This disciplined approach ensures that their on-field performances are not just momentary improvisations but the result of hard practice and preparation.

The Head-Klaasen assault at Chinnaswamy

At the Chinnaswamy Stadium against RCB, SRH unleashed a relentless batting assault, led by Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma at the top. Travis Head scored his first IPL century, smashing 101 runs off just 41 balls.

Alongside, Heinrich Klaasen displayed his reliability with a 67 off 31 balls against RCB.

Interestingly, both Head and Klaasen were formerly part of the RCB squad before being acquired by SRH in different auctions, adding an intriguing subplot to their stellar performances.
