During a World Cup 2023 show, Pakistan cricketers Hasan Ali and Iftikhar Ahmed candidly mimicked Afghanistan all-rounder Rashid Khan. Fast bowler Ali launched the mimicking act by asking his teammates to guess the cricketer he is trying to replicate.

Inciting a laugh riot among his fellow nationals, Iftikhar also joined in the fun by unfolding Khan’s bowling style in an over-the-top manner.

Hasan Ali and Iftikhar Ahmed’s hilarious over-the-top mimicking gimmick aside, the two cricketers have endured a tumultuous World Cup 2023 campaign as Pakistan stare towards a certain elimination from the semi-finals race.

Set to face England in their final league fixture on November 11, the ‘Men in Green’ need to trounce the defending champions by over 287 runs in a bid to increase their NRR above fourth-placed New Zealand.

Pakistan, under Babar Azam, launched their World Cup 2023 campaign with resounding wins over Netherlands and Sri Lanka in Hyderabad. However, they slumped to four successive defeats in their subsequent fixtures, which also included an eight-wicket larruping at the hands of Afghanistan.

Fakhar Zaman’s return to the playing XI restored a much-needed oomph to their batting line-up, as they jumped back to the playoffs reckoning by defeating Bangladesh and New Zealand; before the latter’s morale boosting win over Sri Lanka dented Pakistan’s semi-final dreams once again.

Pakistan’s planned World Cup 2023 clash against England is set to be played on November 11 at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata.
