Following Indian emphatic win over arch-rivals Pakistan in the World Cup 2023 on Saturday at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, vice-captain Hardik Pandya could not contain his admiration for leader of the team’s bowling attack, Jasprit Bumrah's exceptional performance.

Hardik and Siraj showered praise on Bumrah's bowling brilliance vs Pakistan

A video posted on the official Instagram page of the Indian cricket team provided a heartwarming peek into the dressing room dynamics post-victory. An ecstatic Hardik is seen making his way into the dressing room, animatedly suggesting a conversation with Bumrah to uncover the "secret" behind his exceptional bowling skills.

However, before Hardik could reach Bumrah, he engaged in an enthusiastic dialogue with Mohammed Siraj, Bumrah's bowling partner.

The two shared a moment of appreciation, highlighting that Bumrah is an individual who lets his performance on the field, especially his bowling, speak volumes rather than just words. United in their praise, both Siraj and Hardik went on to label Bumrah as a "legendary bowler.”

The video then captures a touching moment where a visibly proud Hardik warmly embraces Bumrah, complimenting his humble nature. The trio then ends their interaction with a group hug, showing the camaraderie and unity that defines the Indian team.

Bumrah's outstanding figures of 2/19 in his 7-over spell against Pakistan were vital to India's victory. He was also named the ‘Player of the Match’ for his terrific performance.

With this stellar performance, the right-arm quick has now taken eight wickets in the first three matches of the tournament, a remarkable comeback after a prolonged injury hiatus. He shares the top spot in the wicket-taking chart with New Zealand's duo Mitchell Santner and Matt Henry.

Meanwhile, the win has ensured India claims the top position in the World Cup 2023 Points Table. The team is all set to face Bangladesh in Pune on October 19, with hopes of extending their winning run in the competition.
