In the first afternoon fixture at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad of this year's IPL, the Gujarat Titans (GT) are set to host the high-flying Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) for what promises to be an electrifying encounter.

Ahead of this highly anticipated clash scheduled for March 31, players from both teams shared friendly embraces during their practice sessions, as captured in a video shared by the Gujarat Titans' official handle on X.

This matchup will mark the third outing for both teams in the ongoing season of the IPL, with each team securing 2 points from their previous encounters, having won one match and lost another. 

The video depicts several key players from both sides, including GT skipper Shubman Gill, SRH skipper Pat Cummins, Travis Head, Rashid Khan, Heinrich Klaasen, Kane Williamson, Mayank Markande, David Miller, Glenn Phillips, Spencer Johnson, Umran Malik, among others.

Under the leadership of Shubman Gill, the Gujarat Titans have started this season on a winning note against the Mumbai Indians, but they faced a setback in their subsequent match against the Chennai Super Kings, suffering a defeat by 63 runs.

On the other hand, the Sunrisers Hyderabad have made a remarkable start to the season, scoring over 200 runs in both of their matches, with their last outing witnessing them smashing the IPL record by posting a staggering 277 runs. 

Following the first defeat, SRH bounced back strongly against the Mumbai Indians, securing their first points of the tournament. Both GT and SRH need to improve in the bowling department.

With each team having secured a win and suffered a loss, the forthcoming battle between the Gujarat Titans and Sunrisers Hyderabad is expected to be closely fought.
