This light-hearted match, coming just before their final league stage game against the Netherlands, showcased a relaxed and confident side, basking in the glory of their eight consecutive victories in the tournament.

The Footvolley game, a combination of football and volleyball, featured prominent players such as Virat Kohli, KL Rahul, Shubman Gill, Ravichandran Ashwin, Mohammed Siraj, Shardul Thakur, Shreyas Iyer, and Suryakumar Yadav among others.

The players were seen fully immersed in the game, sharing laughs and exhibiting a competitive yet friendly spirit. This moment of leisure was captured and shared by the Indian cricket team’s official Instagram handle, drawing admiration from fans for the team's unity and high spirits amidst the pressure of World Cup matches.

Meanwhile, India's journey in the World Cup has been nothing short of dominant, with the team delivering outstanding performances in both batting and bowling. Their consistent victories have mostly been one-sided affairs which is proof of their exceptional form and strategy.

The Men in Blue, already through to the semi-finals, look set and ready to take on the challenges ahead, with their eyes firmly set on the coveted trophy.

As they prepare to face the Netherlands, the Indian team will aim to extend their winning streak to nine matches, setting a strong foundation for their upcoming semi-final clash, potentially against New Zealand which is slated to take place on Wednesday, November 15.
