Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) hosted Mumbai Indians (MI) in match 60 of the ongoing season of the Indian Premier League (IPL). In the first innings, a fan was seen comically trying to steal the ball before being caught by the authorities.

The instance took place on the third ball of the ninth over, where Piyush Chawla bowled a full-ish googly which was given some air and Andre Russell smacked it over the long-on boundary. A KKR fan, who was wearing Rinku Singh's jersey was captured putting the ball in his pants with the intention of taking it home.

He is then caught by the policeman on duty in the stadium as he gives the ball back to the players. In the background, the stadium DJ was heard chanting 'Muscle Russell' to pump up the crowd.
