Fazalhaq Farooqi in action [X.com]
On Saturday, Pakistan registered a comprehensive whitewash over Afghanistan, securing an emphatic 59-run victory in the final ODI in Colombo. Batting first, Pakistan managed 268 runs on the board and defended it successfully, courtesy of the bowlers' collective brilliance. However, besides cricketing excellence, the game also involved some heated moments, including the Pakistani fans' grudge-filled cheater chants for ace Afghan pacer Fazalhaq Farooqi.
Notably, Farooqi executed the Mankad, running out Pakistani all-rounder Shadab Khan at the non-striker's end during an eventful final over in the second ODI. However, despite being considered legal, the mode of dismissal didn't go well with the angry Pakistani fans, who didn't think twice before accusing the bowler of cheating.
Soon after the third ODI started, the Colombo crowd targeted Farooqi, hurling cheater chants at him during the fourth over of Pakistan's innings.

Talking about Farooqi, the left-arm seamer had an off day on the field, scalping just one wicket for 45 runs in his seven-over spell. None of the Afghan bowlers, barring Gulbadin Naib and Rashid Khan, had an impressive outing, as the visitors raced to 268 in 50 overs.
In response, Afghanistan's batting unit crumbled, resulting in their crushing defeat to conclude the disastrous series.
