With the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 done and dusted and the ongoing T20Is against Australia nearing completion, chatters about India's upcoming South Africa tour has already gained momentum.

India will tour South Africa next month for a full-fledged tour consisting of three T20Is, three One-Day Internationals (ODIs), and two Tests, which gets underway from December 10, and will continue till January 07.

Fresh from making a successful return to the Indian setup, wicketkeeper-batter KL Rahul has already announced his readiness for the tour while sharing a promotional video for the official broadcaster Star Sports.

In the promo, Rahul could be seen talking about how tough the South Africa series will be, and that makes it even more fun while announcing the date of the first T20I.

Here's what KL Rahul said

"It’s going to be a tough challenge… but it’s only fun if it’s tough, right? We’re here to take on the South African challenge and win!"

The first T20I will be played on December 10 at Kingsmead in Durban. Interestingly, Rahul led India in ODIs, the last time the nation visited South Africa in the 2021-2022 series, in which the host won 3-0.

Meanwhile, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and national men's senior selection committee will sit today and name India's squad for the South African tour.
