[Watch] Bangladesh Fans Celebrate India's World Cup 2023 Final Loss

Cricket is a very emotional and expressive sport in the sub-continent, where rivalries are taken extremely seriously by fans.

While India remains the champions of Asian cricket, teams like Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka have stooped to lows year after year, which has somewhat created a negative space for the former in the minds of fans of respective nations.

Such a case of seen in Bangladesh, when India played Australia in the final of the recently concluded ICC Cricket World Cup 2023.

In a one-sided encounter, Australia defeated hot-favourties India on Sunday at Ahmedabad by six wickets, much to the excitement of Bangladesh fans.

Now, viral clip shared on the social media platform 'X', Bangladesh nationals could be seen celebrating India's loss with much fanfare and joy.

In the clip, several Bangladesh fans could be heard wishing for India's loss, while supporting Australia, who have not played in Bangladesh since 2021. 

Meanwhile, Bangladesh suffered a disastrous World. Cup 2023 campaign, finishing eighth in the points table with two wins and seven losses. The Shakib Al Hasan-led side barely managed to qualify for the upcoming ICC Champions Trophy 2025 in Pakistan, clinching the last spot available for direct qualification. 

Bangladesh are set to play New Zealand in a two-match Test at home, starting November 28.  The first Test will be played at Sylhet International Cricket Stadium in Sylhet, while the second encounter will be held at Shere Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka.
