[Watch] Azam Khan Pulls-Off One-Handed Stunner Against TKR In CPL 2023


Match 19 of the ongoing Caribbean Premier League 2023 (CPL) produced a high-scoring encounter between Trinbago Knight Riders and Guyana Amazon Warriors. Both teams captivated the crowd at Queen's Park Oval in Port of Spain, where the Warriors came out on top against the home favourites Knight Riders. 

Led by Kieron Pollard, TKR batting first managed 172 runs with all-rounder Akeal Hosein and Lorcan Tucker scored 44* and 38, respectively. Warriors captained by Imran Tahir, ended up comfortably winning the match by six wickets with fities from Saim Ayub and Shai Hope. 

However, the highlight of the whole match was Guyana's wicketkeeper Azam Khan's breathtaking one-handed catch in the first innings.

The out-of-favour Pakistan keeper displayed extreme agility and executed a full-stretched dive to pull off a stunner to dismiss the ever-dangerous Nicholas Pooran.

Khan also ended up taking two more regulation catches to dismiss Andre Russell and Terrance Hinds, bringing his tally to three catches in the match.

The 25-year-old keeper-batter also played a small cameo in Guyana's win, scoring 29 off 17, which included two fours and three sixes, helping his franchise get past the finish line.

In five CPL 2023 matches, Khan has scored 72 runs with five fours and seven sixes to his name.

Meanwhile, the Warriors have moved on top of the CPL points table with this win, while Knight Riders still occupy the third place.
