The ongoing Asia Cup 2023 is entering its business end with the Super Fours stage commencing today, as Pakistan takes on Bangladesh in Lahore. Seven-time Asia Cup winners India will kick off their Super Fours leg on Sunday (September 10) and will once again face a familiar foe in Pakistan.

This high-voltage encounter will be played at the iconic R Premedasa Stadium in Colombo after deliberation about the venue. Much like the earlier India-Pakistan group A match, Sunday's game is also expected to be interrupted by rain and could be washed out as well.

As per several weather forecast apps, there are 90 percent chances of rain during the daytime on Sunday in Colombo, with the percentage coming down marginally to 86 for the night.

As many as three Asia Cup matches in Sri Lanka have been hampered by rains, forcing the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) to ponder about the possible shifting of venue from Colombo to Hambantota, which the organisers ruled off on Tuesday.

Now, the Super Fours, and the Final will be played in Colombo as per the initial itinerary.

The ACC is already facing a backlash from fans, and former players about keeping the tournament in Sri Lanka, knowing that it is monsoon season in some parts of the country.
