Ahmad Shahzad is known to speak his mind on the state of Pakistan cricket and after the loss against Bangladesh in the first Test at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, the batter has lashed out at PCB again for the epic downfall of cricket in Pakistan.

The right-handed batter stated that he has never seen cricket in his nation hitting such a low in his lifetime as Bangladesh registered their first-ever Test win against Pakistan. The loss was also a humiliating one as the Bangla Tigers defeated them comfortably by 10 wickets and Shahzad blamed the board and selection committee for their biased selection.

Shahzad also added that players should not be blamed for the loss as they don't force selectors to take them in the team. However, he was critical of how the cricket management in Pakistan continues to ignore talent in domestic cricket and questioned that what Pakistan board has done if they have not created worthy back-ups all these years.

Ahmad Shahzad - The Forgotten Talent

Ahmad Shahzad was once considered as the next big thing in Pakistan cricket, but was dropped after inconsistent performances. He last played ODI and Test cricket in 2017 while his last T20I game for Pakistan came in 2019.

Since then, he has accused selectors of ignoring him despite good performances in domestic cricket and the 32-year-old has not found a place in PSL too in recent times.
