Seems like George Munsey has taken upon himself to steer Scotland past the winning line against Oman in the T20 WC match.

Chasing a tricky 151 against a decent Oman attack, Scotland were off to a solid start with some blistering hitting. However, the flow of runs was stopped by Bilal Khan who got the prized wicket of Michael Jones.

Oman saw a small window of opening, but that was taken away swiftly by George Munsey, who took the attack to the opposition, and smacked Aqib Ilyas for a couple of monstrous hits. With the required rate just climbing over, Munsey eased the pressure as he tonked the Oman spinner for back-to-back reverse hits.

Aqib's length ball was tonked away brutally as the bowler felt helpless. In the second delivery, Munsey was on the charge once again, as he repeated the same shot and dispatched another six to rattle the Oman team.

His carnage ended soon as after a couple of more lusty blows, Mehran Khan had the last laugh and dismissed Munsey for a quick-fire 21-ball 40.

Talking about the match, Scotland bowlers put in their best efforts as Oman was restricted to 150/7. The only saving grace was the fifty run knock by opener Pratik Athavale.
