Wasim Akram 'Embarrassed' Over Sikandar Bakht's Shocking Toss Claim On Rohit Sharma

Absolutely rattled over Pakistan's disastrous pre-semifinal exit from ICC World Cup 2023, former Pakistan cricketers have been taking turns to make shocking accusations about Team India as their neighbours have enjoyed a dominant run in contrast and stormed into the tournament final in Ahmedabad.

In a horrific statement, former cricketer Sikandar Bakht claimed Indian captain Rohit Sharma has been using a different toss technique and that the flip of the coin ahead of India's semifinal encounter against New Zealand in Mumbai on Wednesday (November 15) was fixed.

Speaking on Pakistan-based 'Geo News', Bakht upheld his poor claims and even posted a clip of the conversation on his Twitter handle.

"He (Rohit) always sends the coin far and the opposition captain never goes to see the outcome," he said.

"Can I give you a conspiracy theory? At the time of the toss, Rohit Sharma throws the coin far from the range of any opposition captain. Thus, the opposition captain cannot go and cross-check about the call," Bakht added in a nonsensical allegation since the toss is held in front of the match referee.

Wasim Lambasts Bhakt Over Toss Controversy

Taking Bakht to the task for his childish assertion where the ex cricketer showed negligible experience before revealing his conspiracy theory, among the saner voices, Pakistan fast-bowling legend Wasim Akram felt "embarrassed" even speaking about the matter.

"Who decides where the coin should land? It is just for sponsorship! I feel embarrassed. I can't even; I don't even want to comment on it," said a visibly annoyed Wasim on 'A Sports'.

Also present on the show were former wicketkeeper-batter Moin Khan and ex Pakistan skipper Shoaib Malik, who concurred with Wasim's remarks and dismissed the allegation for its rubbish nature.

"He is mistaken, just creating a fuss. Every captain has a different way of tossing the coin," Moin said.

"This shouldn't even be discussed," Malik added.
