Team India players were treated with garlands and tilak on their faces and given a special guard of honour with the national flag held high upon reaching Ahmedabad for the ICC World Cup 2023 finale scheduled on Sunday (November 19).

As the build-up to the marquee summit clash against Australia picks up steam and great excitement for fans, the hotel staff in Ahmedabad welcomed the players with open arms and hailed them for an incredible journey leading into the final.

Rohit Sharma and company have been in excellent form and produced an all-conquering campaign, winning all nine of their league stage encounters before storming past New Zealand in the high-pressure semifinal played on Wednesday (November 15) at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.

Men in Blue stand one win away from reclaiming the ultimate crown for the third time in India's men's cricket history after clinching the World Cup trophy back in 1983 and 2011 editions of the quadrennial ICC event.

The staff then unveiled a special guard of honour for coach Rahul Dravid, skipper Rohit and the rest of the members part of the set-up with the national flag held upwards from either side.

All of them wished the players well in their quest to bag the ultimate glory in Ahmedabad this weekend as the nation awaits a prestigious third World Cup title.
