India's legendary batter Virender Sehwag picked Rohit Sharma over Virat Kohli in a 'this or that' Q&A session during the Delhi Premier League. Both Kohli and Rohit have been absolute legends of the game, scripting numerous historic triumphs for India in their playing careers. While Kohli has already achieved greatness by surpassing Sachin Tendulkar's tally of 49 ODI hundreds, Rohit is regarded as one of the finest openers in modern-day cricket. 

However, Virender Sehwag picked Rohit over Kohli when it came down to choosing only one between the two cricketing icons. During his conversation with the broadcasters of the DPL 2024, Sehwag was engaged in a 'this or that' game with the anchor at Arun Jaitley Stadium. 

The talismanic Indian batter chose MS Dhoni over Ben Stokes before ignoring the legendary Indian captain to pick AB de Villiers in the second round. 

He further moved on from De Villiers and Pat Cummins, going ahead with Kohli for the subsequent two rounds. 

However, when Rohit Sharma came up against Kohli, Sehwag went with the latter, admiring his batting and leadership attributes. He persisted with the Indian captain for the next two rounds, declaring him his ultimate pick.

Meanwhile, Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli will return to action during India's upcoming Test series against Bangladesh on home soil. Led by Rohit, India have already announced their squad for the series, giving in-form pacer Yash Dayal his maiden Test call-up. Given their potential and stature, Kohli and Rohit will play a crucial role for Team India in the series.
