Sophie Devine To Lead As New Zealand Announce Squad For Women's T20 World Cup 2024

New Zealand have released their 15-member squad for Women's T20 World Cup 2024 and Sophie Devine, the talismanic all-rounder is all set to lead her country for one final time in T20 World Cups.

White Ferns have unleashed a strong squad with good mixture of youth and experience with likes of Sophie Devine and Suzie Bates set to feature in their ninth Women's T20 World Cup. Both of them will have to play a key role in the batting department along with talented all-rounder Amelia Kerr.

Izzy Gaze will don the wicketkeeper role and New Zealand have come up with a balanced bowling attack with ample options in pace and spin department.

Rosemary Mair is back in the squad after missing out on England series due to a back injury and has the experience duo of Lea Tahuhu and Jess Kerr alongside her. Hannah Rowe and Molly Penfold are other pace options while Kasperek and Fran Jonas will be the spinners alongside Amelia Kerr.

New Zealand To Start World Cup Campaign Against India

The same team will also feature in the three-match T20I series against the World Champions Australia before the World Cup. New Zealand are placed in Group A in the T20 World Cup alongside Australia, India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka and will start-off their campaign against India on October 4.
