Virat Kohli, the star Indian batter has reached Chennai, the venue for the first Test match between India and Bangladesh. The right-handed batter reportedly has travelled directly from London to Chennai and is set to join the rest of the Indian players ahead of the first Test that is scheduled to start on the 19th of September at the M.A Chidambaram Stadium.

In the video that has gone viral on social media, Virat Kohli is seen walking out of Chennai airport with security guards around him. There were also fans around itching to grab a glimpse of their favourite cricketer.

Along with Kohli, many other Indian players have also reached Chennai and team India is expected to start their preparation soon. India last played on 7th of August where they lost an ODI series against Lankans, and we can expect Indian players like Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma to come out fresh and with renewed energy in this important Test series.


Virat Kohli Back In Test Cricket After Missing England Series

The talismanic batter has played just one Test match in 2024, as he missed the England series due to personal reasons early this year. He is now back in the Test squad and would be itching to set the ball rolling straightaway with an impact performance in the first Test against Bangladesh.

Virat Kohli has a good average of over 54 against Bangladesh in Test cricket and he would be a crucial asset for India on turning pitches in India where batting has become difficult in recent times.
