Andre Fletcher has been one of the most celebrated opening batters in the CPL for quite a few years now.  He has over the years delivered some mighty strong performances and his ability to score runs at a rapid rate in varied conditions has made him an invaluable asset.

He is going strong in CPL 2024 as well and now in the 14th match of the season between St. Kitts and Nevis Patriots and Saint Lucia Kings, he has started off on a positive note as well. In the very first over of the match, Andre Fletcher turned on the heat and unleashed his vintage no look six against Matthew Forde. It signalled his intentions for the rest of the game and in the next over, he smashed two boundaries against Alzarri Joseph.

Talking about the six, it was a back-of-a-length delivery on middle. Andre Fletcher stood in his crease, took his left foot across and just whipped it off his pads over deep mid-wicket without even looking at the direction of his shot. It is his trademark shot that he has over the years unleashed both in domestic as well as international cricket and it speaks a lot about the confidence he has in his skills.


Patriots Lose Lewis And Mayers Amidst Fletcher's Charge

St. Kitts started off well and the opening stand of Fletcher and Lewis crossed the 50-run mark. However, just after the Powerplay,  Evin Lewis lost his wicket and Kyle Mayers too could not last long despite a good start to his innings. Fletcher though is going strong and at the time of writing, he has Rilee Rossouw alongside him with the scoring reaching 82-2 at the end of 10 overs.
