It was another close encounter between India and Pakistan in the Super Four match of the Asia Cup 2022, which went down to the last over and fortunes swung wildly and it swung in Pakistan's favour, where Arshdeep Singh dropped a sitter of a chance against the Green in Men, in which it turned out to be the turning point of the game.

Chasing 182, Pakistan received a major blow as they lost skipper Babar Azam (14) cheaply in the fourth over of the second innings. Pakistan's number 3, Fakhar Zaman (15 in 18 balls) came in next and struggled to find the timing.

The left-handed batter departed in the ninth over after a sedate knock while trying to break the shackles. Mohammad Rizwan and Mohammad Nawaz then steadied the ship and forged a defining partnership.

The Men in Green lost a couple of crucial wickets in the death overs, which set up yet another close finish.

Kohli in support of young Arshdeep

Young left-arm pacer Arshdeep Singh dropped a sitter from Asif Ali in the 18th over, which turned out to be a match-defining event. Had he taken the catch, Pakistan could have gone on the back foot.

The Pakistan power-hitter made India pay the price as he smacked a four and a six soon after, putting his side on the brink of a victory.

Speaking in defense of the young pace sensation, Virat Kohli said:

"See that happens when you are under a pressure situation. I remember when I was playing in the champions trophy against Pakistan and I played a very bad shot against Shahid Afridi, I came back and was looking at the ceiling till five in the morning like they are going to drop me,"

"I'm never going to get an another chance. But it's how you use that opportunity to learn. Credit to the captain and coach who have made a great environment for the players, who are now eager to prove themselves and hope that the next catch comes to them,"
