In a significant development, Delhi Capitals' budding cricketer Vipraj Nigam has received a threat from an anonymous international number. The UP-based cricketer is being troubled by a woman who is blackmailing the 21-year-old via phone calls.

According to a report by Bhaskar English, Nigam received a call from an unidentified caller, who made certain demands and threatened to leak a video online, the details of which are not been revealed yet by Nigam.

As soon as the news went viral, the police too took swift action and are busy examining call details, digital evidence, and the origins of the international numbers. Further, the family is under stress as they don't want their son to get into any sort of controversy.

"A case has been registered based on the cricketer’s complaint. Call details and digital evidence are being examined. The matter is under investigation," remarked the police officier working on Vipraj's case.
