India's latest batting sensation Vaibhav Suryavanshi became an overnight hero following his blistering century in Rajasthan Royals' tenth IPL 2025 match against Gujarat Titans last night. Opening the batting for RR, Suryavanshi scripted history, becoming the youngest and second-fastest centurion in IPL history.

Meanwhile, Bihar's honourable Chief Minister Mr Nitish Kumar announced a lucrative reward worth INR 10 Lakhs for Vaibhav Suryavanshi following his IPL 2025 heroics vs GT. 

Taking to his official social media handle on X (formerly Twitter), Nitish Kumar congratulated the prodigious batting talent for his recent exploits. He hailed him for his hard work, reminiscing the moment when he had a chance to speak with him and his father last year. 

Later, he went on to announce a cash prize worth 10 lakhs for Suryavanshi, rewarding him for his phenomenal achievement. 

“Congratulations and best wishes to Vaibhav Suryavanshi of Bihar, who became the youngest player (14 years) to score a century in the history of IPL. He has become a new hope for Indian cricket as a result of his hard work and talent. Everyone is proud of him," Nitish Kumar wrote on X.

"I met Mr Vaibhav Suryavanshi and his father in 2024, and at that time, I wished him a bright future. After his brilliant performance in IPL, I also congratulated him over the phone. Vaibhav Suryavanshi, a young cricketer from Bihar, will also be given a prize money of Rs 10 lakh by the state government. I wish that Vaibhav creates new records for the Indian team in the future and brings glory to the country,” he added.

With the stunning ton against Gujarat Titans, Vaibhav Suryavanshi became the youngest-ever centurion in IPL history, attaining the landmark at 14 Years and 32 days. He also hit the second-fastest hundred in the IPL, breaking Yusuf Pathan's long-standing record.

However, he awaits a major challenge as RR gear up to face the in-form Mumbai Indians in their upcoming encounter at Sawai Mansingh Stadium on 1st May.
