The official Indian cricket team jerseys are now available at surprisingly low prices after fantasy sports platform Dream11 pulled out as the team’s lead shirt sponsor. The decision came soon after Parliament passed a new bill banning online fantasy sports and gambling platforms.

This forced Dream11 to end its three-year sponsorship deal with the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), which it had signed in July 2023 for ₹358 crore.

Adidas Slashes Prices Of Indian Jersey

Following this exit, Adidas, the official kit manufacturer, announced steep discounts of up to 80 percent on Team India’s jerseys. The “FW24 India Cricket T20 International” jersey, which carries Dream11’s logo, is currently listed at just ₹1,199 on the Adidas website, compared to its original retail price of ₹5,999. A similar discount is also being offered on the Indian women’s Test jersey.

Notably, Dream11, which signed a massive ₹358 crore deal in July 2023, was expected to stay until 2026. But their exit now forces the BCCI to look elsewhere. This time, however, the board has set strict eligibility rules. Companies applying must have an annual turnover of at least ₹300 crore, and firms in the crypto or online gaming space are completely banned from bidding. On top of that, just to apply, companies must pay a non-refundable fee of ₹5 lakh plus GST.

This shake-up means Team India could play the upcoming Asia Cup 2025 without a sponsor logo on their shirts. The BCCI has already begun searching for a new lead sponsor, inviting interested companies to apply.

Brands have until September 12 to buy the bid documents, and final submissions must be made by September 16. The Asia Cup itself kicks off on September 9 and runs until September 28.
