In a significant development, India’s emphatic 336-run win over England at Edgbaston has moved them to third place in the 2025–27 ICC World Test Championship (WTC) points table. Under the leadership of Shubman Gill, India now have 12 points from four matches, with a points percentage (PCT) of 50%. While England also sit on 12 points and the same PCT, they have slipped to fourth place due to inferior ranking criteria.
