Update On PSL 10 Draft! PCB Announces Revised Pick Order And Format
In a recent news, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has unveiled a revised pick order and draft format for the upcoming Pakistan Super League (PSL) 10. The draft, now scheduled for January 13 at Huzuri Bagh, Lahore, will begin at 12:30 PM (PST). The change is initiated because of logistical challenges for the event from its original venue in Gwadar, Balochistan.
In a major reshuffling of the draft process, the PCB has streamlined the player categories. The Platinum categories have been reduced from three to two, while the Diamond categories have been trimmed from three to one. The Gold categories now stand at two instead of three, and the Silver categories have been reduced from five to three.

For the Platinum 1 category, Lahore Qalandars hold the coveted first pick, followed by Karachi Kings, Quetta Gladiators, Peshawar Zalmi, Multan Sultans, and Islamabad United. In the Platinum 2 category, Quetta Gladiators will pick first, followed by Karachi Kings, with the remaining order yet to be disclosed.
The landmark season PSL 10 will take place from April 8 to May 19. The six franchises will assemble their star-studded squads on Monday January 13, 2025 during the Player Draft ceremony.
