Team India have cruised their way into the semifinals without even a single defeat in the league stage of the World Cup 2023. Rohit and his men will be locking horns with the New Zealand team, who knocked them out in the World Cup 2019. The much-awaited umpire's panel has been announced for the game.

We are just two sleeps away from the first semifinal of the World Cup 2023. The Indian fans cannot forget what happened at the semifinal of the World Cup 2019 and now that we are about to face the Kiwis in the semifinals again, no one wants this game to go the same way it did in the last World Cup.

But the Indian team have already broken the 20-year-long curse by defeating the Kiwis in this tournament. And the only thing the fans were worried about was the Umpire's panel. Richard Kettleborough, one of the great umpires, has not been good for the Indian team, not because of the decisions, but it has something to do with him as we have lost every knockout game he was a part of.

Sigh of relief for the fans as Richard Kettleborough is not a part of the first semifinal

Even though Kettleborough helped Kohli reach his century by declaring a wide ball, the Indian fans still didn't want to risk the chances of the Indian team and somehow ICC heard the fans as he is not part of the first semifinal which is between India and New Zealand.

The on-field umpires who will be part of the first semifinal are, Richard Illingworth and Rod Tucker. While the TV Umpire and Match referee will be Joel Wilsona and Andy Pycroft respectively.
