In the ongoing 2023 World Cup, Team India is in exceptional form, progressing undefeated through the group stage with a perfect record of nine wins and claiming the top position on the points table en route to the semifinals.

Their next challenge awaits as they gear up to face arch-rivals New Zealand in the first semi-final at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai on November 15, seeking redemption for their elimination in the 2019 World Cup.

As part of their pre-game ritual, Team India's head coach Rahul Dravid, along with the coaching staff, visited the Wankhede Stadium upon landing in Mumbai to assess the playing conditions ahead of the upcoming match.

In the current World Cup, all three matches played at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai, have been high-scoring affairs, signalling a pitch favouring batters while presenting challenges for bowlers who frequently find themselves on the back foot.

In a previous face-off during the tournament, India faced Sri Lanka at this venue, putting forth an authoritative performance, registering a thumping 302-run victory, bowling out Sri Lanka for only 55 runs.

Team India's batting lineup, including Rohit Sharma, Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, and KL Rahul, is firing on all cylinders. The Kiwi bowlers have their work cut out to keep them in check. It will be interesting to see how they throw down the gauntlet to the Men in Blue on their home ground.
