The beginning of the upcoming year will be eventful as per the cricketing calendar. Some unmissable T20 leagues are coming up next year. The cricket fans are set to enjoy some exciting T20 cricket.

Along with the rising excitement, another big issue is rolling eyes. Major T20 leagues like ILT20, Big Bash League, SA20, and BPL are set to clash with each other. That has become a big issue. As the leagues overlap, players will face difficulties in participating in the game.

The Overlapping Schedule

After two successful editions, the iconic ILT20 is set to come up with the third season. The tournament is set to go live on January 11 and the final match will be played on February 9. Fans are set to experience 34 exciting matches in the league. On the other hand, South Africa’s T20 league, SA20 is scheduled to take place from January 9 to February 8. The schedules of those leagues are clashing.

Along with that, three other leagues are there whose schedules are also clashing with each other. Australia’s Big Bash League has been scheduled to run from December 15 to January 27. New Zealand’s Super Smash is scheduled to take place from December 26 to February 2. The Bangladesh Premier League is also a part of this major issue. The BPL is all set to take place from December 30 to February 7.

Huge Concern For The International Players

The engaging schedule will play a huge role in players’ participation in those T20I leagues. In the previous edition, BBL already experienced this issue due to their schedule overlapping with ILT20. This issue will create a conflict in the players’ schedules.

David Warner is all set to lead the Sydney Thunder. Because of this, he may miss the third edition of the ILT20. Australian youngster Fraser McGurk will face a similar problem as he represents the Melbourne Renegades along with the ILT20 franchise Dubai Capitals. Along with them, Shai Hope, Chris Jordan, Lockie Ferguson, and many others are there in the list. Those overlapping schedules and crowded calendar is adding complexion to it.
