CSK Won The Bidding War Against GT For Vijay Shankar
Vijay Shankar went under the hammer during the IPL 2025 auction at a bace price of INR 30 Lakhs. There was an intense bidding war for the player between the Gujarat Titans and the Chennai Super Kings for the Indian all-rounder. Ultimately, the five time champions won the bidding war and acquired the services of Vijay Shankar for INR 1.20 Cr.
Chennai Super Kings have always preferred players who can bat in the middle order and also deliver a couple of overs with the ball. Given the overall utility of the all-rounder, Shankar could be perfect fit in the team's scheme of things.
