Pat Cummins' Australia is slated to lock horns with India in the final leg of the Border Gavaskar Trophy. Australia has revealed the 15-man squad for the last two Test matches ahead of the Boxing Day Test. Interestingly, Travis Head and Steve Smith have been named as Pat Cummins' deputies in the squad which has gaslighted the former's injury rumors.

Aussie young-gun, Sam Konstas has been called up for the final two matches as he replaces opener Nathan McSweeney, who has been omitted after a lean start to his international career. After recovering from a run with injuries, fast bowler Jhye Richardson was also included. Meanwhile, Sean Abbott returns to the squad for the remaining two Tests.

While due to a calf injury Josh Hazlewood sustained during the drawn third Test in Brisbane, he has been ruled out for the remainder of the Test summer.

India And Australia Come Neck To Neck

The third Test between India and Australia went into a well-fought draw, as rain played the final role in halting play. India won the toss and was elected to bowl, while Australia posted 445, with Travis Head scoring 152 and Steve Smith 101. Jasprit Bumrah took 6/76 in a standout performance.

India replied with 260, thanks to KL Rahul's 84 and Ravindra Jadeja's 77 and a brilliant cameo by Akashdeep. Australia set India a target of 275, but poor weather cut short the final day's play. India's chase was cut short by rain and bad light, and the match ended in a draw. The series is tied 1-1, and both teams will head to Melbourne for the Boxing Day Test hoping to take a lead.
