The inevitable has happened and just as everyone feared, rain god decided to ruin India's party and the 3rd Test match at Gabba has been washed out due to relentless rain. Prior to the rain, India were relatively confident of pulling off the win, but it seems like rain had some other plans.

India needed 275 to seal the win and take a 2-1 lead in the series, and as the openers came with the mindset of chasing down the target, rain arrived in the 3rd over as the players had to walk off the field. However, the Indian side still had a hope to chase down the target, as it basically became an ODI match.

But persistent rain, combined with bad light and thunderstorm left the umpires with no choice, but to call off the match as both the captains mutually agreed with the decision. With this stalemate, the caravan will head towards Melbourne as the series is poised at 1:1.

Bumrah led Indian attack pushed Australia on back-foot

After getting bundled out for 260, India handed a 185-run lead for the Australian side, and the home side went for quick runs as they lost wickets in a flurry.

Just like the first innings, Jasprit Bumrah led the bowling assault in the second innings as well. He picked up two early wickets, and soon, Mohammed Siraj and Akash Deep joined the fun as Australia lost wickets in tandems.

The hosts declared at 89/7 and handed India a stiff target to chase, but rain spoiled the party for the Indian side as the match ended in a draw.
