In a significant development, Sunrisers Hyderabad have opted to bat first after winning the toss in their ongoing group-stage fixture against Delhi Capitals. This will be a crucial game for both teams, as they will look to seal a win and move up in the points table.

In his reaction, SRH skipper Markram revealed that they would bat first considering the dry nature of the surface. He also stated that West Indies all-rounder Akeal Hosein would make his debut, while Abdul Samad has also made his return.

Here's what Markram Stated

"We are gonna bat Ravi. The wicket looks little bit on the dry side. The local guys said that we should not be too much worried about the overhead conditions,

"All the experimentations and things are done and ultimately it's about playing some good cricket and delivery some exceptional performances. Unfortunately, we lost Washi. Akeal Hosein makes his debut in IPL, that's exciting for him. And Abdul Samad also comes back in."

Meanwhile, DC captain David Warner said that they should buckle up as a batting unit and try to form partnerships, something they have failed to do in the IPL this season. The Capitals have replaced Aman Khan with Priyam Garg for this fixture.

"It is about putting our best foot forward and adapting to the conditions. We are losing wickets in clumps, the other guys are being brave and backing their instincts, they need to play down the wicket rather than squarer. After the first six it's about containing and keeping them down to a par score. One change for us, Aman Khan is out, Priyam Garg makes his debut for us."
