2026 is going to offer some of the craziest cricket moments to the fans as multiple World Cups are lined up to deliver unreal thrills. Before the T20 World Cup takes center stage in February, young guns will step into the spotlight as the Under-19 World Cup begins on January 15.

As the tournament is just a few days away, New Zealand has announced their star studded squad. With the perfect blend of fresh talents and experienced players, they are ready to make their mark.

New Zealand name a fearless lineup for the Under-19 World Cup

Fans across the globe are getting ready for some unreal cricketing excitement as the Under-19 World Cup is coming back with yet another thrilling season. With the tournament set to begin next month, teams are locking in their final plans to chase glory. Amidst that, New Zealand name a fiery squad for the marquee tournament.

Combining some fresh talents with some experienced stars, New Zealand’s under-19 side looks strong even before the tournament starts. Otago’s opener, Tom Jones, is set to lead the 15-member squad. The star batter was also featured in the previous edition of the tournament.

Adding to this, stars like Snehith Reddy, Aryan Mann, Mason Clarke, and all-rounder Jaskaran Sandhu will step into the big stage with some domestic experience. As their bowling side already looks strong, Harry Burns and Flynn Morey’s seam power will be a boost to the side.

Head coach Devicich is buzzing with excitement ahead of the tournament

As the young guns are ready to take on the challenges on the big stage, head coach Anton Devcich reflects on the tournament. Calling it a massive opportunity, he threw his full support behind the players to rise to the challenges that await.

“The Under-19 World Cup is a really exciting opportunity for the best age-group talent to showcase their skills on the world stage and experience their first taste of international cricket. For most of the players, it’ll be their first time representing New Zealand, which will be a special moment for both players and coaches,” he said.

As the Under-19 World Cup is commencing on January 15, Zimbabwe and Namibia are hosting the tournament. On January 18, the New Zealand under-19 side will face the United States of America under-19 side in their first match in Bulawayo.
