An emphatic bowling performance from Barbados Royals, coupled with a stellar batting display from Corbin Bosch powered Barbados to a comprehensive three-wicket victory over Trinbago Knight Riders on Friday, August 26. 

Chasing a trifling target of 77 runs, Barbados overwhelmed the target with 21 balls to spare. The South African batter Corbin Bosch was the chief architect of their run-chase, mustering 42 runs off just 23 deliveries with the help of 3 fours and 4 towering sixes. 

The Irishman Harry Tector remained unbeaten for a 6-ball 16. For Trinbago, Akeal Hosein, Jayden Seales, and Ravi Rampaul bagged a wicket each. 

Trinbago's below-par batting performance 

Trinbago Knight Riders' decision of batting first after winning the toss backfired big time as the team skittled out for just 76 runs in 7.5 overs. 

Akeal Hosein top-scored for the Knight Riders, having smashed 27 runs from 16 deliveries. Tion Webster (9-ball 18) and Andre Russell (8-ball 12*) also chipped in with breezy cameos. 

On the bowling front, Barbados Royals used as many as seven bowlers and each of them got a reward each except Ramon Simmonds and Nyeem Young, who went wicketless in their spell.

Trinbago Knight Riders will next lock horns with Guyana Amazon Warriors on Friday, August 26 while Barbados Royals will be up against Jamaica Tallawahs in the sixth match of the tournament, set to be played on Saturday, August 27.
