The Indian team will be eager to retaliate after a narrow defeat in the first T20I series against West Indies. The second match is scheduled to be held at Providence Stadium in Georgetown, Guyana on Sunday.

BCCI shared glimpses of Indian team's gala dinner at Indian High Commission in Guyana

Ahead of the much-awaited clash, players from both the Indian and West Indies teams were treated to an elegant dinner. The event was graciously hosted by Dr K. J. Srinivasa, the Indian High Commissioner in Guyana.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) shared a glimpse of this congenial soiree through several photos on their official Twitter handle.

The photos offer an intimate look at the event, featuring Indian head coach, Rahul Dravid, captain Hardik Pandya, and vice-captain Suryakumar Yadav, among others.

"Dr K. J. Srinivasa - High Commissioner of India - hosted #TeamIndia at the Indian High Commission in Guyana ahead of the second T20I," captioned BCCI.

The delightful gathering presented a much-needed respite for the Men in Blue as they prepare for the upcoming second T20I against the West Indies team led by Rovman Powell.

The Caribbean side displayed an impressive performance in the series opener, restricting India to a mere 145/9 after posting a competitive total of 149/6 on a tough wicket.

Nonetheless, the series is far from over, with four more matches still to be contested. Pandya's brigade will be committed, viewing this as an apt chance to steer the course of the series in their favour.

Moreover, the Men in Blue will be keen on utilizing their time in the Caribbean as groundwork for their campaign in the T20 World Cup 2024.
