Taskin To Get More Money Than Shanto, Rahim In Bangladesh's Central Contract: Reports

The Bangladesh Cricket Board has refabricated their central contracts and have now dished out the same in five categories - A+, A, B, C, D instead of the previous one where it was based on the three formats, according to Cricbuzz. The major omission is Shakib Al Hasan who had a all-format contract last time, and this time, the Bangladesh Board has included 22 players which includes good blend of youth and experience.

Taskin Ahmed Gets A+ Contract

According to the same report by Cricbuzz, there were debates in the board whether Mahmudullah and Mushfiqur Rahim should be offered the contract or not. They have been included eventually and Rahim has found a place in A category while Mahmudullah has been included in B category.

Surprisingly, Taskin Ahmed, the right-arm pacer is the only place in A+ category while the likes of Najmul Hossain Shanto and Mehidy Hasan Miraz who are in the leadership positons are included in A category. Litton Kumar Das who was excluded from Champions Trophy 2025 squad is also in A category.

The former Test skipper, Mominul Haque, Mustafizur Rahman, Taijul Islam and youngsters like Towhid Hridoy along with Nahid Rana have been given in B Category. The C category includes players like Soumya Sarkar, Shoriful Islam along with other young players. Grade D include just two players, Nasum Ahmed, the left-arm spinner, and Khaled Ahmed, the pacer whose progress has been hampered by injuries in the recent past.
