Bangladesh have named their 15-member squad for the three match T20I series against Ireland from November 27, as they continue their preparations for the T20 World Cup 2026 in India.
The announcement comes on the same day after they completed their Test clean-sweep over the visitors in Mirpur to clinch the series in style.
Taskin Ahmed misses out as Litton Das leads Bangladesh in Ireland T20Is
Litton Kumar Das will continue as skipper after he recently returned from the back injury against West Indies, while their experienced campaigner Taskin Ahmed, who has scalped 24 wickets (2nd most) in 13 T20Is this year will not be a part of the squad.
The 26-year-old Mahidul Islam Ankon, who made his international debut last year is a notable inclusion in the squad. He could be making his T20I debut in the series.
Bangladesh's leading wicket-taker in the format, with 155 scalps in 122 innings, Mustafizur Rahman will lead the bowling attack alongside the likes of Rishabd Hossain and Mahedi Hasan, who will continue to remain an integral part of the T20I set-up.
