With a few days left for the ICC Women's World Cup 2025 to be played in India, the International Cricket Council (ICC) has released the theme song for the premier tournament. Sung by the acclaimed Indian singer Shreya Ghoshal, the song features rhythmic beats, is catchy, and boasts some wonderful lyrics.

Shreya Ghoshal Puts The Charm With Her Melodious Voice

The upcoming Women's World Cup 2025 is expected to be a massive spectacle as the top women's players arrive in India and Sri Lanka for this multilateral international event. The cricketing energy, meanwhile, has received a massive boost, as the ICC has released the song for the Women's World Cup 2025 in collaboration with singer Shreya Ghoshal.

The song, according to the ICC, features a high-energy blend of rhythm, melody, and emotion, and is expected to unite fans worldwide.

The theme song has some catchy lines like “Tarikita Tarikita Tarikita Dhom” alongside “Dhak Dhak, we bring it home,” as the heartbeat-inspired lyrics are mentioned by the ICC on their official website, where it is a perfect melody for encouraging the women's teams on the field when the major tournament takes centre stage.

Alongside Shreya Ghoshal, the song is composed, produced, and arranged by Nakul Abhyankar, while Raqueeb Alam has written the lyrics, and Nazeef Mohammed has also contributed with his wordings.

The music video has some dazzling choreography, while cricketing moments have also been engraved in this video.

"It has been a wonderful experience to be part of the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025 through the official event song that celebrates the spirit, strength and unity of women’s cricket," Shreya Ghoshal said when asked about the song. 

Previously, many songs that have been released by the ICC for global tournaments have gained massive eyeballs and ears, as fans have often waited for the ceremonial anthems that capture the imagination of the tournaments.

Women's World Cup Set To Begin On 30th September

As for the ICC Women's World Cup 2025, the event is scheduled to begin on the 30th of September, with India women taking on Sri Lanka women at Baraspara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati, while the final is scheduled for the 2nd of November, with the venue yet to be confirmed.

Alongside India, the other participating teams are co-hosts Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, England, New Zealand, South Africa, Australia, and Pakistan. The tournament is set to be played across four venues in India, namely Guwahati, Indore, Visakhapatnam, and Navi Mumbai, and one in Sri Lanka, Colombo.
