Cricket Scotland have finally announced the 15-member squad for the T20I World Cup 2022. They will be kick-starting the tournament on October 17 with a battle against West Indies in the Group B match. The team will be aiming for a better performance this year.
They were brilliant in the group rounds last year as they qualified for the Super 12 games. However, the team failed to win a single match in the Super 12 and they will be hoping to transform their fortunes this season. The 15-member selection has been made considering the performance of the players in the two-match home T20I series against New Zealand in July.
There are some surprise selections in the team as all-rounder Brandon McMullen has received his maiden call-up to the national side. The youngster has been picked following his sensational performance both with the bat and the ball in the Regional series and A games.
