Pakistan succumbed to a torrid start against England in the seven-match T20I series. The Green Army registered a loss by six wickets in the first T20 International to lag behind by 0-1. The Pakistan batters were subjected to criticism and hate for the team’s poor run.
Playing at the National Stadium in Karachi, Pakistan ended up scoring only 158 runs in their allotted 20 overs. It was a horrendous performance by the middle-order batters as no batter could score even 30 runs. Pakistan got off to a tremendous start as Mohammad Rizwan smacked 68 runs off 46 balls.
The skipper Babar Azam also looked good with the bat but he had to walk back after scoring just 31 runs off 24 balls. Luke Wood picked three wickets while Adil Rashid had two as the host were restricted to a below-average total. Chasing the total, England won in 19.2 overs.
