India skipper Harmanpreet Kaur entertained the fans with one of the finest knocks in the history of Women’s cricket in One Day International at St Lawrence Ground. Her blistering knock of 143 runs off 111 balls made the crowd go berserk as many of them gave a standing ovation to the visiting skipper.
India Women had a torrid start during their white-ball tour to England. They lost the three-match T20I series by 1-2. Thus, playing the 50-over format, the captain took it on herself to help India cross the line. The first One Day International saw scintillating performances by Smriti Mandhana and Harmanpreet as they smacked 91 and 74 runs, respectively.
