Sussex announce squad for final County Championship game against Glamorgan

Sussex, on Sunday (September 25) announced a 13-member squad for their final County Championship fixture against Glamorgan, set to take place at County Ground, Hove on September 26. 

Tom Haines will shoulder the captaincy duties while Oliver Carter has been asked to keep the wickets against Glamorgan.

As for the unavailability, Sussex has got a long tally with a plethora of players missing out on the County action owing to respective injuries.

The right-arm quick Henry Crocombe, who suffered torn ligaments in his shoulder at Chester-le-Street last week will miss the final match.  

The likes of Ari Karvelas (knee), Steven Finn (knee), and Archie Lenham (back) are also unavailable due to injuries while Jofra Archer and Jamie Atkins continue to recover from their respective injuries.

As for George Garton, the left-arm pacer has returned from The Hundred but he is unavailable for the selection owing to Covid. 

Sussex have had a dreadful County season so far as they have managed to win just one of their 13 matches. They lost as many as six matches while six of them ended in a draw. 

With 117 points in their account, they are currently lurking at the second last place in the County Division-Two standings.
