In the domestic circuit of Mumbai, Ayush Mhatre has grabbed attention with his batting brilliance at such a young age. After shattering the domestic stage, he has already stepped into the IPL arena, donning the Chennai Super Kings jersey. Mhatre Shines Despite CSK’s Slump

The ongoing season has turned out to be a forgettable one for the Chennai Super Kings as they became the first team to be knocked out. Amidst the turmoil, the franchise found a new gem in Ayush Mhatre. Coming as the replacement of the captain Ruturaj Gaikwad, the youngster grabbed within a short time.

Making his debut as the youngest CSK batter against the Mumbai Indians, he played a quickfire innings of 32 runs in 15 deliveries. But while facing the Royal Challengers Bengaluru, he unleashed his beast mode, smashing 94 runs in 48 deliveries. That has been a standout performance in his debut season. With Ayush in the squad, CSK found a gem for the future.
