Punjab Kings premier spinner Yuzvendra Chahal tried his hand at bowling off-spin during a recent practice session at Eden Gardens in IPL 2025. PBKS posted the playful video which quickly went viral on social media.

PBKS is set to clash with KKR for the second time in IPL 2025. In the previous game, Punjab scripted a historic heist, defending a 111-run total as KKR were bundled for 95.

Yuzvendra Chahal, interestingly, played a crucial role with his match-winning spell of 4/28. And ahead of the next clash, Chahal is trying out different variations to tackle KKR.

Yuzvendra Chahal Turns Heads With Off-Spin At Eden Gardens

In a video posted on PBKS's social media handle, Yuzvendra Chahal was all smiles as he experimented with off-spin deliveries. While the video brought laughs, Chahal’s performances are no joke. 

The spinner has historically been a nightmare for KKR batters. He famously took a hat-trick against them while representing Rajasthan Royals in 2022. In total, he has taken 33 wickets in 23 games against KKR, and at Eden Gardens, he has 10 wickets from 10 matches.

The highest wicket-taker in IPL history, Yuzvendra Chahal has 214 wickets from 168 matches. PBKS had bought his services for a record INR 18 crores at the auction, relying on his experience and ball magic. Although his IPL 2025 campaign was slow to begin, he has picked up form in recent matches, with 9 wickets in 8 games till now.

That being said, the game between KKR and PBKS is equally important for both teams. While the defending champions are 7th in the points table with 3 victories in 8 matches, Punjab is 5th with 5 victories in 8 matches. Therefore, success in this rivalry is vital to both teams if they wish to remain in contention for the playoffs.
