Sri Lanka's cricket selectors have announced a 17-player squad for the upcoming two-match Test series against South Africa, which is part of the ICC World Test Championship. The first Test will kick off on November 27 at Kingsmead, Durban, and the second one will follow on December 5 at St. George's Park, Gqeberha.

In preparation for the series, ten Sri Lankan players left for South Africa last week to join a pre-series camp. This group includes key players like captain Dhananjaya de Silva, Dimuth Karunaratne, Angelo Mathews, Dinesh Chandimal, and Prabath Jayasuriya. The squad has been making arrangements to train and practice in Durban ahead of the matches.

Sri Lanka Cricket has announced that the rest of the squad will head to South Africa on November 22, 2024.
