Ahead of the much-anticipated Border-Gavaskar Trophy starting November 22 in Perth, Indian cricket stars KL Rahul, Dhruv Jurel, Prasidh Krishna, and Devdutt Padikkal were spotted enjoying some downtime at Cottesloe Beach in Western Australia. The players shared glimpses of their relaxed beach outing, taking a breather before diving into a high-stakes five-Test series against Australia.

KL Rahul shared a fun video on his official Instagram account with a caption “Beach day with the boys.” The video showed the teammates soaking in the sun, laughing, and enjoying the scenic ocean view.

While the beach outing showcased the lighter side of the players’ lives, it’s clear they are also preparing for the challenges ahead. All four cricketers recently featured in India A’s second unofficial Test against Australia A.

While Rahul struggled with the bat, managing only 14 runs across two innings, Dhruv Jurel stood out with scores of 80 and 68. Prasidh Krishna impressed with the ball, taking six wickets, while Padikkal contributed a modest 27 runs.

KL Rahul, Easwaran And Padikkal In Focus

With just a few days to go, reports suggest that KL Rahul and Abhimanyu Easwaran are in the race to replace Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill at the top of the order. Meanwhile, Devdutt Padikkal has been asked to stay back in Australia with the squad, likely in preparation for a potential spot in the lineup.

The upcoming series against Australia isn’t just any regular cricket contest for India—it’s a big deal for their World Test Championship (WTC) journey. Right now, the Men In Blue are behind in the WTC standings and need to step up.

To keep their hopes alive, India must win at least four out of the five Tests in this series. That’s no easy task, especially against a strong Australian team playing on their home turf.
