Despite the high anticipation surrounding the blockbuster Asia Cup 2025 clash between India and Pakistan, ticket sales for the Sunday fixture (September 14) in Dubai are underwhelming.

According to several media reports, the seats and tickets for the India-Pakistan clash at Dubai International Cricket Stadium are nearly 50% unsold. So, due to this, the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) has reportedly slashed the prices to attract more fans. The cost of standard tickets has been cut from 475 dirhams to 350 dirhams.

ECB Denies Reports, Claims Strong Fan Interest

But in recent development, according to the Times of India, the Emirates Cricket Board (ECB) has refuted claims of sluggish ticket sales.

“The signs are very encouraging. There is no truth to the claim that tickets are not getting sold.”

"On Wednesday night, we put out 3,000 tickets through the on the online channel — the Platinum List — and they were all sold out within a couple of minutes. It clearly shows that there is strong interest among fans," .

Adding to this, the source also revealed that a fresh batch of 3,000 tickets was released on Wednesday, and the Platinum List online platform was sold out within minutes, which clearly indicates that the fans are excited for the biggest rivalry.

Social Media Buzz And Boycott Calls Cloud Build-Up

It is worth mentioning that this will be the second time India and Pakistan have played in Dubai this year, following the Champions Trophy, where tickets sold out in under four minutes. However, this time around, sentiment appears divided.

Additionally, there has been significant chatter on social media, with some users, including former cricketers, suggesting that the high-voltage fixture be avoided altogether. As Sunday’s showdown draws near, all eyes will now turn to Dubai to see whether the iconic stadium lives up to its legacy of hosting one of cricket’s fiercest rivalries.

India has started the tournament on the high note and defeated the UAE by 9 wickets. On the other hand, Pakistan will face Oman on September 12, 2025.
